Smoother Site Creation

The site creation wizard now guides you through SSL setup in plain language, checks your choices as you go, and saves your progress if you step away.

Setting up a new site used to mean copying DNS records without much context. The wizard now explains what each step does and why, so you can move through it with confidence.

Security setup without the jargon

The SSL step (now called “Security”) opens with a plain-language explanation of what DNS records are and why you need them. If your domain provider supports one-click setup, that option is front and center. Manual setup is still available behind a toggle, and a new registrar guide shows exactly where to find DNS settings for GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, and other popular providers. Each record card now has a human-readable title like “Verify domain ownership” instead of just “TXT”.

Catches mistakes before you launch

As you fill in your site title, a character counter tracks your progress and warns you if the field is empty. Custom subdomains are checked for availability in real time - you’ll see a green checkmark or a clear message before reaching the review screen. On the final review page, you can click any row to jump back and fix it, then return to review with one click.

Picks up where you left off

Close the tab mid-wizard and your progress is saved for 24 hours. When you come back, a notification lets you continue where you stopped or start fresh.

A proper send-off

After your site launches, the wizard now shows a celebration screen with quick links to visit your live site, open WordPress admin, or head to the management dashboard.
